“Let’s light the world, together.”
About Me
On a typical week, you can find me starting my days at sunrise on the back patio, asking God for help for the day. Then, I'll be at my desk with headphones on, working with clients, recording a new episode with Suze for the @InsightMaximizers podcast, or training new coaches. I also meet with like-minded professionals in the community for mutual encouragement and referrals. I also volunteer in discipleship counseling at our church.
The Dallas area had been my home since my high school days in 1977. When my husband, Meade, retired in 2022, we built a new home in the Texas Hill Country and relocated from Flower Mound to a beautiful neighborhood Northwest of Austin overlooking Lake Buchanan and Inks Lake. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning. Meade and I enjoy a blended family of three adult daughters and two fabulous sons-in-law. Seeing them follow their unique paths to fulfilling lives is such a joy. We're also blessed with two healthy and very active grandsons.
In my downtime, I spend time catching up with my husband, family, and friends, growing my faith, helping people get sober, doing DIY projects and retail therapy, working out, and cooling off in the pool. Most evenings, Meade and I take sunset walks with Blaze, our handsome and funny Hound mix.
My Back Story
Having spent my thirties and early forties working hard, collecting sales awards, and trying to make myself and everyone else happy, I wound up depleted and addicted to alcohol. When I got sober in 2005, I realized I had lost myself along the way. Even though I had achieved success, I was lacking joy and purpose. I began seeking, finding.
Since recovering from alcoholism in 2005, I've been active in a recovery program in Flower Mound and now in the Austin area. I consider the twelve steps my lifeline to my relationship with God and myself. It's the foundation for my beautiful life today.
Several years after I got sober, I hired a coach who helped me figure out my career and my purpose. Coach Vernita has assisted me through all of life's twists and turns, from raising a blended family, launching Jhub Consulting, navigating health issues, celebrating successes, and grieving the losses of our three remaining parents. Today, I coach people who, like me, are driven to achieve their purpose, and I train new coaches. When my husband retired, he surprised me with the announcement that he wanted to help people with their finances. And that's how we got where we are today: a team of two coaches who love to inspire people to conquer significant challenges that we, too, have conquered.
